Labor Dy With JC!

Returning from the weekend the 1st thing Brodie wanted was to see JC. They had such a great time!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day 2009 we went to Little Rock for the 1st Razorback game of the year.
Sunday we went to eat lunch at Red Apple Inn at Eden Isle. Alex waited on us. Then we went to Barbara's house for some fishing. Brodie caught several fish. You should have seen the big one that got away! He really did catch a really big one that got away. It was so big it straightened the hook. It was a fun weekend!

Sleepover

Brodie's first sleepover was a huge success. He had five, yes five boys the weekend before kindergarten started. Christopher, JC, Xavier, David, and Colin. After everyone got here we ate pizza, walked to Locomotion to ride go carts and play games, came home and watched a movie and then to bed. Oh what fun!
Brodie is lucky to have some really great friends. We hope he is always so fortunate.

Brodie likes to create "stuff". This was a busy night of creation. First, he wanted to build a train track that would pull his other "creation" made from a shower curtain expansion bar, my hair clip, rubber bands and some other items I cannot recall at the time. Then he wanted to "create" a soup as I tried to cook dinner without killing myself in the process. His soup was made from ice cubes, water, salt, breakfast bar, and marshmellows. He then wanted to put it outside in the sun to melt. He called it Pasta something! You will also notice the lid on the pan is duct taped on. He is in the middle of a duct tape fettish. By the way that is his Daniel Boone costume from when he was two.

Sometimes when he is "creating" it drives me crazy. Then I realize that someday I will miss all of this. This time will pass all too soon and then a hair clip will be just a hair clip and not some magical part on one of his creations.

Brodie - We love you so much.

Landscaping

Brodie and his friend Colin decided to do some landscaping. I'm not sure there is a future in that business for either of them, but I was impressed with the amount of effort they put into their work!

Cool dude?

Brodie participated in Kids Kamp at Fellowship this year. This photo was taken on mix/match/crazy dress-up day. I think he pulled it off.
