Happy 6th birthday Brodie Beeshaw!

I couldn't be prouder of my wonderful little six year old boy. He decided to forgo personal gifts for him at his party to collect books for Cameron's Amazing Book Club which gives out books to disadvantaged kids. We are so thankful to all who brought books in Brodie's honor. I'm thankful that I have a child that wants to help others. We are a blessed family.

Brodie's 6th birthday party was held at Durham's gymnastics. He and his friends had such a great time running, jumping, and diving in the foam pit. It was big fun!

Spring Soccer 2010

Spring Soccer with the SMOKERZ! We have a great team this year. Brodie loves playing and his skills have really improved from last fall. I think I may end up a sports mom afterall.

Brodie had his 1st ever piano recital and played Katie's Dog Tucker. Ms Jaime Baker is his piano teacher. He and his friend Michael had fun even though they had to dress up.

We met the Bratton's for lunch at Monte Ne Inn on Easter Sunday. Brodie wore his sport coast and looked soooo cute. He is really such a handsome little boy.

Speaking of fashion. Brodie has asked for a weight set for his 6th birthday. I couldn't believe it. It is concerning to me that a six year old already has his sights set on big muscles. He wants his arms to look like the basketball players on TV. He has also asked if he can "get in one of those boxes that make you brown." When questioned further as to what that was I finally understood that he wanted to go to a tanning booth. How he knew about that I will never know. Anyway, I kept asking questions to figure out what his reasons were for wanting to be browner and he told me that the black players have better muscles than the white players. Hmmmm. Now where do we go with this?
I told him no on the weight set and to the tanning bed. The other requests have been permanent tattoos and a mullet. If I have to choose one I'm going with the tats!
While at Big Cedar we were shopping the gift shop where Brodie noticed a wine rack with a bear holding a bottle of wine. He said rather loudly, "Hey look mom a bear holding a Bud Light!"

Big Cedar Fashion

While at Big Cedar the boys wanted to play a little basketball. We got some fashion advise from one of the locals.
